With only 19 days to go before I move to Chicago, today I present to you the woefully underrated Ferdinand Magellan. Unfortunately, Ferdie has been completely overshadowed by our friend Chris Columbus (who I believe also directed the first 2 Harry Potter movies). Magellan was both the first person to sail around the globe and the first person to discover penguins (you can guess which of the two is referenced on the tombstone that sits above his empty grave). I'm disappointed to find out that he died in the Philippines. I hold R personally responsible.
