Hello World!

Welcome to the life and chronicles of My Jersey Boys and me, B (the only girl who hangs out with them). Our original mission was to prove that not all of Jersey is obsessed with GTL. Now it's kind of become the place where we share our random thoughts, ridiculous stories, regular quote updates, and maybe a picture or video here and there. There's always something going on...

Love from,
The one and only,

Sick Day #2

Posted by The one and only "B"... on 10:55 AM
Hello world...

So yeah, I'm pretty sick right now. It sucks, it's unfortunate, it's annoying... whatever. C's post with all the Christmas song's got me thinking about some of my favorite Christmas songs. Since I'm stuck in bed and really have no desire to get up and do anything, I'll share a few of the songs he missed with you...

The first song is "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out" by Fall Out Boy. This song is an old favorite of mine:

Back in Colorado, my Grandma would play this song every year at Christmas. Laughing hysterically the entire time. My family is a little weird *laughs*...

How could C forget to add Mr. Grinch?

Okay, now this next Christmas video... is a little weird, I guess. I didn't like this song until Glee did a cover of it. "Last Christmas" originally by Wham, I like the Glee version better. Meh, whateva...

The holiday season just wouldn't be complete without Mariah Carey's version of "All I Want For Christmas", at least it isn't for me. I freaking LOVE this song. It makes me smile...

And finally, you can't have Christmas without an appearance of the great Pumpkin King! So I share with you "What's This?" featuring Jack and Fall Out Boy...

Love From,
I hope this puts you into the Christmas Spirit!

I'm going to go back to being sick and reading now...

Tis The Season

Posted by cmoney on 2:46 PM
It’s that time of year again, Christmas time! A time for good cheer, festive music, Christmas specials for every one of my favorite TV shows, and Christmas movies galore, mostly in clay-mation. In my house Christmas starts early, were always the first to decorate our house for Christmas mostly because my mom is very anal (haha anal) about the lights being up before Thanksgiving which is held every year at my house. We never really do anything crazy just string some lights and put out some snowmen and reindeer, but its still pretty cool. I know B is putting up decorations right now and I believe TK will have lights around his house as well but that’s about it as far as anyone in our groups Christmas decorating really goes, even though I will try to convince D to decorate his apt. for Chanukah.

I can't express how much I love the holiday season, 10/31 to 1/1 is the best part of the year, which is why i guess they say save the best for last, and as great as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and New Years are they fall well short of Christmas. I mean how many holidays are so awesome that they have to be celebrated half way through the year just to hold people over, just Christmas. Christmas is also that special time of year when you get to see everyone, and I mean EVERYONE you want to. Friends gather as well as family, people you haven't seen or heard from in years would gladly spend time with you around Christmas, just watch H&K3. Older people will enjoy eggnog while the young ones build gingerbread houses and for the people in between they can always enjoy some holiday Christmas trees (If you know what I mean). Everyone will be out looking at Christmas lights while singing along to Christmas music in their "reindeered" car. B even plans on spreading some holiday cheer around town by adding red noses to all the deer crossing signs. And who could forget about the presents, both giving and receiving is just awesome. I still remember waking up at 5am and running into my parents bedroom to wake them up and open presents. Those are the kind of memories ill have till I die and I owe it all to Christmas.

Anyway I can’t wait for Christmas' def. the best time of the year, and that’s a fact not an opinion. So to get you in as good as a holiday mood as I am I will share with you some awesome x-mas vids, enjoy…

An event to remember...

Posted by The one and only "B"... on 11:57 AM
Hello world!

There hasn't been much going on recently for the boys and me, which has meant I haven't had any good stories to share. Everyone has been either busy with school, or busy with work, so when we do all get the chance to hang out, it's usually just in TK's garage. I suspect that this is because most of us are too tired to do anything else.

This weekend, however, was an exception. We had a special event to go to, D's Mom got married, and we were all invited! So on Saturday, those of us who could make it to the wedding, got all dressed up and prepared ourselves for a night of festivities. Many of us had never been to a Jewish wedding before, so it was quite the cultural learning experience for us. For instance, we learned that at a Jewish wedding the bride's guest's sit on the right, and groom's guests sit on the left... Which meant we made the mistake of sitting on the groom's side, but no one seemed to care about our oversight. The service went by quickly, with a few funny moments here and there. Occasionally D would look over at us, from his spot on the alter, and make funny faces... I just hope the photographer didn't catch any of them.

However, after the ceremony, while we all lined up to congratulate the bride and groom, was where things started to get confusing. The cantor was still singing, and many people were trying to talk over her to say hello to friends or family members. Meanwhile, J was convinced one of the guests was Kevin Nash, and was trying to get R and myself to pass this piece of information around, but no one seemed to understand what we were saying. Everyone just kind of looked around feeling a little confused. Then there was the matter of what you're supposed to say when you congratulate a Jewish couple on their marriage. Looking back on it, I don't know why that stressed us out so much, I guess it was because we wanted our congratulations to be proper.

After that, things start to get a little blurry... It was an open bar... I literally made it three steps into the cocktail hour before I found a waiter carrying a tray of mimosa's. Here's what I do remember... Talking to T on R's phone (he's still in the Caribbean). A waiter dropped a tray of glasses on J and D. G and I had two beers in the time span of ten minutes. When we moved into the reception hall, I was ecstatic to see that the sushi table was right next to our table. D made an impromptu wedding speech... I don't know if you could actually call it a toast, since he was teasing his mom... Bonding with D's sister, a fact I'm not too sure he's excited about. At one point, I was disappointed to discover there was no more Woodchuck (my favorite). OH! At the beginning of the night, when we were looking for our names on the place cards with our table number on it, I found a place card with Hermione Granger's name. During cocktail hour, I went back to the place card table, and took Hermione's place card, and set it in front of me for the entire night... I also took it home with me.

One of my favorite parts of the night was when G announced that, as D's friends, we were expected to make asses out of ourselves. So it was proposed that we would go onto the dance floor, and make fools out of ourselves. I can't remember who all was dancing, I know I was drunkenly participating. I drunkenly participated in several dances, including following R while he did the hustle (and I tried to mimic what he did), and dancing with D's sister to YMCA and another song I can't remember... but I think we were jumping around pretending to be Indian's...

Finally, the night was winding down... and we decided that we were going to take group pictures... It takes a lot of effort to edit black squares over everyone's eyes, so I'll just include my favorite picture from that night...

The night ended with a balloon fight, and all was well with the world...
The end.

Love from,
The hangover the next morning wasn't too fun though...

Who Needs...

Posted by StuckintheSeventies423 on 12:51 PM
... to sleep and dream when you can just stare at the ceiling and let everything that's given you a hard time destroy you in one night? Sometimes I think it would be better off if I just didn't exist (try admitting that to your family). Long ago, there was a time when I probably wouldn't have given up so easily but now the fire which drove me to better myself is beginning to fade away. I feel old and totally unaccomplished as a human being. It's hard to feel alive when everyone else thinks you're dead inside. I've been reminded of the things that I won't have because let's face it the world needs sad motherfuckers like me out there to remind everyone else that it can always be worse. Who needs to sleep and dream and have nightmares when the greatest nightmare of all is reality...

I will never rock in peace...

I waste so much time...

Posted by The one and only "B"... on 1:13 PM
Hello world!

I'm wasting time at work by finding ridiculous photos to share with you all. I'm feeling particularly lazy, so that's just fine by me. I'd like to send a special thanks to my sister, Google+, and iwastesomuchtime.com for helping me put all of this together. So if you have some free time, or you just feel like wasting time, feel free to take a gander down this post, and hopefully have a few laughs along the way.

It's okay T-Rex, I hate pushups too...

That's no coincidence...

History at it's greatest...

... too easy...

Brit's are always better... (side note: who could have seen Neville becoming such a stud???)

Somewhere my sister is laughing and giving herself a high-five...

It's funny cause it really is true...

So that's why....

You'd think she'd have it figured out by now...

hahahaha... sucker.

I'm pretty sure group projects are a conspiracy created by teachers to punish the smart kids... bastards.

Well, now you'll never know...

So you pressed the reset button with a pencil, and had to start all over. Damn it.

Easiest challenge ever.

And also with you...

Seriously... I hate stupid people...

Yeah.... also true...

I have a feeling D would not approve of this...

When T saw this, he said I made him miss white people...

It's a deal breaker...

I almost wish I had been there to see it... almost.

Love from,
Well, I've got to actually work now... damn.

Remember that creepy penguin from those old Budweiser commercials that would stalk people and sing that eerie little song?

He's still out there...

Back in the Saddle

Posted by cmoney on 4:59 PM
After being gone for what seems like months I have decided to post again and as any good movie knows I’m going to need a montage to get back in posting shape. Now since you cannot see my fascinating montage I will post the song that will be playing over it. On a side note I feel like any montage about getting back in to something should be this song….

Table 23…

Posted by StuckintheSeventies423 on 11:18 AM

Around here, the number twenty-three always manages to raise a few eyebrows whenever it’s mentioned. For some reason, the number twenty-three seems to have completely surpassed the number thirteen when it comes to baring a negative connotation. The number twenty-three isn’t really supposed to be unlucky it just seems that a lot of really horrible things have happened in history when that number is involved. I always get a weird feeling whenever I look at the clock and it’s some random hour and twenty-three minutes (which has been happening a lot). Lately twenty-three has been popping up in just about every movie I’ve seen in the past few weeks. Here’s a short list:

1. In Final Destination 2, the highway pile-up at the beginning occurs on Route 23.

2. In The Big Lebowski, the Dude always used lane 23 at the bowling alley.

3. In Jeepers Creepers, the creature comes out to kill every 23 years for 23 days straight.

4. In Star Wars: A New Hope, Princess Leia is being kept in detention block AA23.

5. In Scary Movie 2, Tori Spelling gets fucked by a ghost on Friday the 23rd.

6. In Escape from L.A., Los Angeles is separated from the mainland when a massive earthquake strikes on the 23rd of August.

7. More of an error than anything else but in the original Halloween, Michael Myers is listed in the credits as being 23 years old. However, if you do the math he’s only supposed to be 21 in the movie.

None of these things come across as being very positive, unless you like bowling. For some reason, bad things happen when the number twenty-three is involved but I may have found the one exception. The wormhole that many have died trying to find (not really) and it lies… in the center of the restaurant I work in! Two years ago, we added a new table to the room, which fell awkwardly in between rows twenty and thirty. Seeing as it was always closer to row twenty, it seemed only right that it would be numbered accordingly. However, one girl thought it would make more sense to just call it twenty-two and a half (table 22.5) as opposed to just adding a whole new number to the row. I told her how confusing this was and how there was no logic behind wanting to call it twenty-two and a half. I was hoping that she would say it had something to do with the negativity surrounding the number twenty-three but there was never any mention of it… she was just stupid.

So I changed it back on the seating chart where it has remained. Surprisingly, table twenty-three is considered a pretty “hot” table. Whatever it is about that particular spot just makes people want to spend their money. No one has ever gotten a cheap group at that table and nothing has ever gone horribly wrong either (in fact, I don’t think I’ve ever had food sent back on me). Of course, now that I’ve written about it and have to go into work later, I’m probably going to get table twenty-three and all hell will break loose! Well, at least I won't be surprised.

Till next time, let us rock in peace...
